iHeart Outdoors
Our two co-hosts, Julia Cameron and Lindy Hartness, provide a fresh take on outdoor television and create something not seen before in the Adventure TV genre.
iHeart Outdoors reformats outdoor television in a unique and entertaining way that both brings in a new audience while simultaneously retaining current outdoor enthusiasts. At OMG we’ve produced many great hunting and fishing shows over the years while touching on other areas of outdoor adventure such as whitewater rafting, hiking, camping and skiing. As next generation producers Julia Cameron and Lindy Hartness created iHeart Outdoors to fully bring OMG’s outdoor adventure experience to the forefront with this new format. To accomplish this a primary goal is to find new outdoor activities that people are creating and participating in, then show our viewership how and where they can experience these activities for themselves.
To augment the unique adventures, we will strategically set aside a portion of our show which involves breaking the fourth wall by having on camera interviews that occur in a studio or away from the action while on location.
This will make our hosts more relatable to our audience through added insight and humor. With the introduction to new outdoor activities, along with the beautiful scenery that will be captured as they travel throughout the United States, the viewership will not want to stop watching these two as they make their way through the outdoors.

Fishing the West
In the history of fishing television, no other program has received such notoriety and acclaim as “Fishing the West.” From 1983 to 1995, over 300 episodes were produced in the Northwest and worldwide. Spectacular scenery, premiere angling action and detailed instructional segments helped to elevate the program to a cult-like status among fishermen young and old. The Best of Fishing the West will capture this avid angling audience once again, supplemented by the interest of a growing resurgence among younger anglers.
Production Quality That Set The Standard
While most fishing and hunting television shows today are shot and edited in just days, an average "Fishing the West" episode took weeks of perseverance, luck and late nights. Larry Schoenborn and his multi-camera crew, who insisted on exceptional, trophy-caliber fish for every episode, would never quit until they got them. The Fishing the West cameras also never failed in capturing the pristine scenery, wildlife and culture of the areas they visited. It’s the primary reason viewers associate Fishing the West with quality and credibility.
